MACON TRANSITION CENTER - April 6, 2014

Wayne, Julia and I went to Macon TC for Sunday morning service. One of the residents opened up in prayer and then we did video Praise and Worship.

Wayne delivered the message on "Who Do You Depend On?" using test from Exodus 33:1-3, 15-18. He opened up with the questions "Will we be dependent upon ourselves or desperate for His Spirit?" In the test, God told Moses that He would give His blessings but would not go with them. How would we respond to this? Unfortunately, most people want the blessings but don't want to do the work to have a relationship.

In the test, God told Moses that He would give His blessings but would not go with them. How would we respond to this? Unfortunately, most people want the blessings but don't want to do the work to have a relationship.

Four reasons we need the Holy Spirit:
1. We have an assignment we cannot fulfill. We need the Holy Spirit to make this happen. Only God can do it.
2. We have a privilege we cannot forsake. John 15:14, 16:12-15; Exodus 33:7-9 We don't have to wait for a representative to meet with God. We are "in the tent" meeting with Him face to face. We live in His Presence. How can we forsake this?
3. We have a "family" we cannot forget. Exodus 33:14 God says His Presence will go with me. In the 15th verse it sounds like Moses did not hear Him, but actually Moses was concerned about the people (his "family"). We should have that same concern about others.
4. We have a God we cannot fathom. Once you see God's glory, you want more and more. The Holy Spirit guides and leads us into all truths.

We closed the service by getting in a circle and everyone prayed.
