Wayne and Julia Smith, along with Elizabeth Smith, met with some of the men from MTC for morning service. After opening in prayer, Wayne opened up with Psalms 148 -150:6 on praising God and then we went into praise and worship followed by Wayne ministering on the “Dangers of Not Getting It,”

We looked at:
1. The glory of God in Isaiah 6:1-8; along with the sinfulness of man by the view of Isaiah about himself when in the presence of God.
2. The dangers of not seeing (1 Samuel 5:1 - 6:3) They didn’t get who God was and ended up pushing Him away
3. The dangers of following a pattern or set traditions and not obeying God’s Words (1 Samuel 6:13-21) They did not obey God’s Word and ended up pushing Him away
4. The dangers of intellectual knowledge without the relationship (Matt 23:25-28) They had great knowledge but did not have a relationship with God in which they would know and understand His will. Ultimately, they closed their ears to God.
5. The dangers of being comfortable in life (Rev 3:14-21; Deut 6:10-12) A church, people in the church, comfortable with the many riches of this world - forgetting God for these things of this world - forgetting God while in church. “Inviting Christ into their heart” but ultimately, leaving Christ standing outside the door.

Wayne brought up that God wants to bring us to Himself even if He has to allow some hardship. He asked them how many of them would have come to God if they had not been "locked up"? Wayne looked at all of these dangers with the men and brought all of it down to the present day where they live.

At the end of the service there was a time of discussion and then Wayne closed in prayer because we ran out of time.
