MACON TRANSITIONAL CENTER - August 3, 2014

Wayne, Julia and I went to Macon TC for Sunday morning service. The video praise and worship was powerful and all of the men participated. Stephen and Jacob also ministered in song and it was amazing. I then turned the service over to Wayne who brought the message on "Baptism" using text from Acts 2:36-41. So many times we do not understand the true significance of baptism. In some countries it could actually cost you your life and believers do it anyway.

So many times we do not understand the true significance of baptism. In some countries it could actually cost you your life and believers do it anyway.

He addressed questions about baptism which included:
Why should I be baptized?
What is the meaning of baptism?
Do I have to be baptized to be saved?
How should I be baptized?
Who should be baptized?
When should I be baptized?

Points he made were baptism is a declaration to the world that we belong to Christ. What is baptism in this relationship? Wayne used his relations with Julia as an illustration. He put a ring on her finger meaning he was committed to just her, surrendering his old life and united with her. Baptism is our "engagement ring" declaring we belong to Christ.

We closed by taking prayer requests and all of the men came up front in a circle to close in prayer.
