After praise and an opening prayer, Pastor Kevin Humphery reminded us that God is infinitely patient with our excuses and lack of personal responsibility. However, God sees the big picture and allows us to build our testimony through the problems we have faced and God overcame. Jesus PERSONALLY advocates for us with His Father. As long as God hasn’t given up on you, you have HOPE! Jesus loves you and can change you.
“LITTLE GIRL GET UP” In Luke 8:49-50, Jesus was teaching in a house when a message came that the daughter of a ruler listening had died. When we are at our lowest point, redemption is like an insurmountable WALL of DESPAIR, but Jesus can carry us OVER through HIS WORD.

Jesus HEARD – He always knows – and ANSWERED with “Do not fear; only believe…” We have the CHOICE to give our struggles to Jesus OR let Satan defeat us. Jesus won when he ROSE from the dead but we have to CLAIM it. Mark 11:22-24 teaches us that our BELIEF can move mountains. “…she will be WELL” is a promise to honor FAITH. Family members often pray for deliverance for an out-of-control person and getting incarcerated is sometimes the ANSWER to that prayer and a chance for a new beginning.

Jesus went to the house where the child lay lifeless and took only a few people inside with him. Kevin reminded the women to carefully surround themselves with people who love and are surrendered to God’s service.

As the family “Wept and mourned”, Jesus said, “Don’t cry, she is not dead but only asleep.” Many of us SLEEP through our lives – simply reacting and being pushed in different directions. Tough REALITIES wake us up to the need for Christ in our lives. Jesus sees the beautiful person he created us to be – not the failed sinner.

The mourners “ridiculed” Jesus for saying that the girl was sleeping. Many times the people we turn to for guidance convince us that we have no chance of healing and should live in shame. Jesus PUT OUT the scoffers and continued doing GOD’S work. We can Choose to surround ourselves with SUPPORTIVE people OR people who tear us down.

When everyone else had given up on the little girl, Jesus RAISED her from the DEAD. Often, only FEAR and DISOBEDIENCE, stop us from RISING from our past. As time and our story unfolds, God’s power will shine forth in our TESTIMONIES!.

All the women prayed for healing and mercy in their current situation. It was an anointed service and we praise God for His mercy that is new every morning!
