Wayne and Julia went to Macon TC while I spent the weekend with my grandchildren. After praise and worship, Wayne ministered on "The Hope of His Calling" taking his text from Ephesians 1:15-23.

THREE TRUTHS:
1. We need wisdom and understanding so that we know the hope of His Calling. It is imperative that we know the hope of His calling on our lives. 2. The Hope of His calling on our lives is the inheritance of God. 3. There IS an Inheritance of God - that inheritance is not money or things but rather the saints.

THREE WAYS THESE TRUTHS AFFECT OUR LIVES
1. We need to understand our worth to God. We are His INHERITANCE. It does not matter what you've done. It does not matter what has happened to you. As saints, you are God’s inheritance. He is our pearl of great price - we are His Inheritance

He is our treasure - we are His wealth What do you give a God who has everything? A people who have pursued worldly pleasures but then reject those for God; to choose God over the world. We are the only creatures who can make this decision.

WARNING: When we understand this, we may have a self centered idea that God revolves around our lives. Nothing is centered on OUR lives. EVERYTHING centers around God’s Glory.

2. We live in obedience to God Everyone is not the inheritance of God. The passage says the “SAINTS” are God’s inheritance.

Therefore, we need to live a life worthy of the Gospel.

3. We work to build interest in God’s inheritance. Our purpose is to build God’s inheritance. We MUST perform that purpose.

They spent the last part of the service having discussion about the Word and praying together for special requests.
