Set Captives Free ministries joined 29 of God's daughters (6 new) at West Central for praise and Bible study. During the music service, we sang, clapped, and praised God.
Pastor Kevin Humphery reminded us that our CHOICES shape our lives. We CHOOSE to heal, change, thank God for His mercy and love, and to faithfully follow God's will. Faith in action is the proof that we are God's children and an example for our families to latch on to.

Luke 13:10-16 was the basis of our Bible Study.
Vs. 10. Jesus CHOSE to be in church to worship GOD. Jesus' focus on God disrupted the "religious" service. Don't let "religion" or hypocrisy stop us from growing in a church - just CHOOSE a church focused on God's work.
Vs. 11. The woman also CHOSE to SEEK God in church - even though the church had not been able to help her.
In Ephesians 6:12, the Bible says we fight against spiritual darkness - not people. WE must CHOOSE who to listen to and whom to follow. The one we focus on becomes clearer and the others fade. CHOICES of the mind and spirit change us from the inside in ways that people see from the outside. Your CHOICES are the WEAPONS in the Battle for your soul and your life. The woman had been sick for 18 years and couldn't get up by herself. Satan wants to destroy us but if we CHOOSE God and ask for HELP, no circumstance can defeat us.
Vs. 12 Jesus called, "Woman, be loosed!" God places the opportunity for freedom in front of us. When we have been healed and forgiven for many things, we love and cherish our Savior whose LOVE delivered us. We CHOOSE to follow God because true life is impossible any other way.
Vs. 13 When Jesus touched the woman, her entire world changed SUDDENLY. When we open our innermost selves to His touch and speak our needs out loud, He will TRANSFORM our lives. His Word, the Bible, is our new "owner's manual and we need to study it continually.
Vs. 14 The pastor of the church became indignant. Our job is to seek a church home where GOD is actively being served. Religious or financial protocol will not help us grow spiritually! Seek groups of people who follow the Bible and serve the community.
Vs 15 & 16. Jesus rebuked the church for not helping the woman due to religious rules. Beware leaders building a "church" rather than showing people how to accept Jesus. Each "Jesus follower" is the center of a church because Christ lives within them. The only contact some people have with Christ is the example they see in US. When we share the VICTORIES Jesus has won over sin in our lives day by day.
The service closed with all women coming up front to pray for healing and families.
