WEST CENTRAL INTEGRATED TREATMENT FACILITY - April 19, 2014

Wayne, Julia and I went to WCITF for our weekly Saturday night service where we were greeted by 46 smiling faces. One of the ladies opened up in prayer and we went into Praise and Worship. The ladies poured their praises out before God singing, raising hands, weeping, and even kneeling before the King of kings! Then I danced to "My Redeemer Lives" by Nicole Mullins while they sang along.

Wayne brought an amazing message "To the Last Drop" using text from Acts 17:24-25; Isaiah 6:1-5 and Luke 9:51.

Wayne brought an amazing message "To the Last Drop" using text from Acts 17:24-25; Isaiah 6:1-5 and Luke 9:51. He started out by telling his real-life experiences with roller coasters and had them laughing and engaged. Then he got into his message about the cross. God chose the cross. We're not saved because of the pain the Roman soldiers inflicted upon Him, but because our Holy Savior, the Sacrificial Lamb CHOSE to go to the cross and endure the wrath of a Holy God who abhors sin.

Wayne did visuals on how big God's creation is to give an idea of just how big our God is. Our God is perfect and holy.
Isa. 40 - who can you compare to Me.
Isa. 45 - I am the Lord - there is no other god.

In Luke 9:51 - He went to Jerusalem with purpose - He CHOSE the cross. In the garden He asked 3 times if this cup could pass from Him. If we study the cup, it is God's wrath. Jesus was not afraid of the pain of the beatings and the cross. He knew He was going to come under the Holy wrath of a Just God and that God (His Father) could not look on sin .... He abhorred it. JESUS drank every last drop of that wrath and then said IT IS FINISHED!

Surely this Christ deserves more than a half-hearted relationship with Him.

Then he referred back to his original roller coaster ride experience. Relate the end of life to watching those cars drop off at the top of the climb, but they are dropping off into eternity. We have a safety device .... it's there but won't keep us from dropping to our eternal death unless we embrace it.

I gave the altar call and all but 8 of the 46 ladies came front for prayer. After we prayed, I played the video "That's My King" from the sermon by Rev. S, M. Lockridge. It was an AMAZING evening!
