MACON TRANSITIONAL CENTER - Oct. 18, 2015

Kevin, Sheila and Elizabeth went to MTC for Sunday morning service to worship with the men. Our technology failed us so Kwame led us in a couple of songs and then we sang "Amazing Grace." Several men got up and gave praise reports before Kevin came up to preach on "Thy Brother Will Rise Again" taking his text from John 11.

Is every day easy? No.
Do you lose anything? Yes

I cannot believe this happen to me. We blame the devil for a lot of stuff that is not him. Every time something happen doesn't

mean its the devil. Sometimes God has to get you in a position to do what He needs to do in your life.

Remember Jonah? God prepared the big fish.

When Jesus heard Lazarus was sick, he stayed two more days in the place He was. Does that sound like something God would do? God will get glory out of your situation.

If you've been in darkness for so long, it's hard to see the light. The glory of God is so bright, sometimes it's hard to see. If you don't believe me, sit in the darkness and go out into the light. You won't be able to see.

vs. 20 - Martha went to meet him. Jesus, if you had been here, my brother wouldn't have died (he wouldn't have gone to jail, he wouldn't have lost his family, etc.)

Then she said, but I know God will give whatever you ask. She had a measure of faith. When Jesus told her that he would rise again, she admitted he would in the last day.

This woman knew Jesus. but still did not understand. She had faith but her faith was only what she can see. Faith has got to be what you CANNOT see. The power of life and death is in the tongue. If you want things to change, change what you are saying and doing.

If you have Jesus in you, your life has already started to change.

She is sitting here with a brother who is daed and Jesus is telling her that he'll rise again.

Some of you know what I'm talking about. Someone you love has given up to you and has written you off. But as long as you are still here, you have a chance.

Do you believe God can change your life? Do you believe He can put everything back together.

She believe He was the Christ. She went to Mary and told her the Master had come.
Not only does He prepare you, but He prepares others.

Kevin gave a little of his testimony and said he had messed up everything. If God can change him, He can changed anyone.

Jesus asked, "where did you lay him?" (When did you give up on him, when did you quit on him, when did you decide he couldn't make it?) So many have given up on you.

Jesus wasn't crying for Lazarus; He was crying for everyone around him who wasn't believing. He knew everything you would go through; He knew your pain.

Then He told them to roll the stone away. Your heart is as hard as a stone. You say He might help someone else, but He cannot help me. You need to forgive yourself. God cannot do anything until you let Him move away the stone and break your heart.

The Bible says He stands at the door and knocks. He cannot do anything until you allow Him. If nothing has changed, its because we won't allow it to change.

God is trying to help you, but you won't let Him.

Lord, by this time he stinks. When you get home, you're going to want some people to hug your neck and tell you its going to be alright and they are not going to. Sometimes you have to let people go.

Remember what it says in Philippians, ....leaving those things that are behind you?" Sometimes we have to walk away.

This may sound crazy to some of you ... enjoy this time you have to get into this Book. When you get out there, you aren't going to have this time to study and read. Get yourself into a church that is about God.

They removed the stone and Jesus said, "Father I thank you that you have heard me and always hear me, but because of the people standing by, I said this so they will believe You have sent me."

Jesus made it an individual thing with Lazaurs and He makes it an individual thing with you. Talked about Samuel and Eli when God was trying to get Samuel's attention. God will keep "messing" with you until He gets your attention.

Lazarus was bound up in grave clothes.

You will get rid of the clothes, but still bound up. I'm free because I have Jesus, but still bound up because we have other things.

Find a job, get a car, etc. etc. God will work on things for you on the outside and help you if you will trust Him.

Life isn't over. Your life is just beginning. If you can believe it, anything is possible. When you walk out of here, it may look like its not going to work out for you, but trust God! If the devil wants to destroy a family, destroy the man. Let God work in your life.

Altar call ... everyone was saved. Then Kevin said I know that you are trying to cross mountains. He said he wanted to pray with everyone because everyone is going home soon. You need to fix things when you get out and ask people to forgive you and also forgive those who have hurt you. God cannot do anything for you until you forgive them.
Praise God for a great time with the men at MTC!
